If President Obama looked out the window today, he might have redneckognized a few of the tourists standing on Pennsylvania Avenue.

Alana Thompson (a.k.a. Honey Boo Boo) and family spent time in downtown D.C. Thursday, posting two photos to Facebook featuring the family in front of the White House, including this one of TV's most famous child reality star showing off her pageant grin:

Later in the afternoon, Honey Boo Boo, Mama June, Sugar Bear, et al. were spotted by Twitter fans at Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum:

What brings the first family of fried food (well, maybe less fried food these days) to D.C.? A book signing.

Yes, the "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" stars have a scheduled appearance at the Barnes & Noble at Tysons Corner Center Thursday night to sign copies of their new book, How to Honey Boo Boo: The Complete Guide on How to Redneckognize the Honey Boo Boo in You.

The book "features everything you need to know," including "How To Be A Beautimous Queen," "Cookin ' Like Mama" and "Talk Like Hone Y Boo Boo."

If you miss Honey Boo Boo's D.C. appearance, never fear -- she's coming to a city near you. In upcoming days, the family will host book signings Macon, Georgia, and New York City.

Season two of "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" premieres on TLC July 17. And no, you're not alone in feeling like the show has been on much longer than one season.
