Chris Paul's 2016 NBA All-Star campaign now has the support of one of the most ferociously devoted groups of people in the world: Beliebers.

Justin Bieber asked his 73 million followers on Thursday to retweet him to help get the Los Angeles Clippers point guard to the game.

You can vote for your favorite NBA player on Twitter by using the player's first and last name and including the hashtag #NBAVote. But retweeting someone who has already voted also counts as an additional vote, according to the NBA's "How To" page, which means that Paul received nearly 60,000 votes just from Bieber's two tweets.

The Sacramento Kings tried to use the huge reach of these Tweets to get people to vote for DeMarcus Cousins. But it didn't work as well.

According to an NBA release on Thursday, Paul has the third most votes for guards, so he will need to surpass either Oklahoma City Thunder guard Russell Westbrook or the Golden State Warriors' Steph Curry to become a starter.

While The Biebs' endorsement will help cut that lead, Paul has some catching up to do before voting ends on Jan. 18. He was roughly 200,000 votes behind Westbrook on Thursday before Bieber's tweets and nearly 700,000 votes behind Curry.

At this point Katy Perry, Taylor Swift and One Direction will also need to give Paul a Twitter shoutout if he wants a chance.
