New York Subway Stairs Gag: Dean Paterson Films Straphangers Enjoying Their 'Trip' (VIDEO)

Funny Video Exposes Subway Station Flaw
|

Dean Peterson noticed something peculiar about his subway station. One of the stairs-- at the 36th Street stop at 4th Avenue on the N, D and R in Sunset Park, Brooklyn--is a fraction of an inch higher than the others, causing countless straphangers to trip on their way up and out of the station.

He filmed the endless, naturally-occurring gag and the result is some great subway slapstick.

Tripping on the subway though isn't always all laughs, however. One redditor, sharilynj, remembers, "This scares the living shit out of me. I have an irrational fear of NYC subway stairs ever since I fell down a set in Brooklyn 4 years ago. Bloodied my legs, tore my shoe in half, bruised half my face (miracle I had no broken teeth)."

"That said," the redditor added, "this video's still fucking hilarious."
