You know what my favorite thing about a box of brownie mix is? The possibilities.
I mean, sure. You could make some plain old brownies with that box of mix. Or you could add every possible good thing in life to that box of brownie mix and create something magical. (Sort of like I did with these Cadbury Creme Egg Brownies!)
This time around, I topped my brownies with plenty of chocolate chips and mini marshmallows. Then I went all crazy and created an easy peanut butter sauce to drizzle daintily over the top. And, okay, whatever. There was nothing dainty about it. I basically just dumped on as much sauce as possible and then buried my face in the pan of Peanut Butter Marshmallow Brownies gooey goodness.
Ingredients
1 box brownie mix,
1 cup chocolate chips,
1 cup miniature marshmallows,
1/4 cup crunchy peanut butter,
1/4 cup caramel topping
- Prepare the brownie mix according to package instructions. Bake as directed. Five minutes before brownies are finished baking, remove from the oven.
- Top with the chocolate chips and marshmallows. Return to the oven to finish baking.
- While the brownies are baking for the last five minutes, add the peanut butter and caramel to a microwave safe bowl. Microwave for 1-2 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds, until the peanut butter has melted into the caramel sauce. Stir well.
- Drizzle the peanut butter sauce over the baked brownies. Cool completely before cutting and serving.
