Is parading elephants through Manhattan streets enough to capture your attention? Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus hopes so.

Keeping up an old custom of theirs the circus company paraded elephants through midtown Manhattan to herald the upcoming circus tour. Six Asian elephants walked the streets from Queens, through the Midtown Tunnel to Madison Square Garden along 34th Street from 11:30 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Despite the lateness of the hour and the rain, New Yorkers came out to watch the spectacle.
