Rachel Maddow Finally Receives A Response From Mitt Romney's Campaign (VIDEO)

WATCH: Maddow Gets What She's Been Dying To Have

Rachel Maddow shared some big news on her MSNBC show Monday night.

Following months of requesting comment from GOP candidate Mitt Romney's campaign on various issues, Maddow announced that her show had finally received a response.

"They have always just pretended we did not exist," Maddow said of the Romney campaign. "But today, today we got something!"

Maddow's show reached out to Romney's campaign to learn if the governor supported the latest equal pay for women bill, the Paycheck Fairness Act. The Senate will vote on the bill on Tuesday. President Obama personally got on a White House press conference call to further urge Congress to pass the Paycheck Fairness Act. Maddow said Romney has been avoiding commenting on the bill.

So, Maddow's producers reached out to the Romney campaign for comment. "We asked them in writing, 'What is Gov. Romney's position on the Paycheck Fairness Act being voted on in the Senate on Tuesday?'" Maddow said.

Maddow enthusiastically reported that her show received a "really fast reponse" from a Romney spokesperson.

"Of course Gov. Romney supports pay equity for women. In order to have pay equity, women need to have jobs, and they have been getting crushed in this anemic Obama economy, losing far more jobs than men. As president, Mitt Romney will create a pro-jobs business climate that will put all Americans back to work," a Romney spokesperson wrote.

Maddow pointed out that while she received a response, she did not receive an actual answer to her question. So her producers emailed again, asking one more time if Romney supports the Paycheck Fairness Act. They received a curt response from the Romney campaign stating, "Gov. Romney supports pay equity for women."

Maddow's show attempted for a third time, with Maddow writing the third email herself. Maddow wrote Romney's spokesperson an email that included a multiple choice section stating various positions Romney may have towards the Paycheck Fairness Act.

"We have not received an answer to that last email," Maddow said through her laughs.
