Ron Paul: Obama "Deserves An F" (VIDEO)

Congressman Ron Paul offered a harsh appraisal of Obama's presidency on Thursday during an appearance on CNN's "American Morning."

"I'd probably give them a D. He deserves an F, but I give him a D to make one point is that he's not responsible for this mess," Paul said.

The congressman was appearing on cable news show alongside his son Rand Paul, who confirmed on Wednesday that he is running for Senate in Kentucky.

The elder Paul, a 2008 presidential candidate known for his libertarian principles, said his evaluation of Obama's job performance is mitigated by the blame shared with other parties.

"The last administration has a lot to do with this. The Congress has a lot to do with it. So I would say he's failing, but he doesn't deserve all of the blame," Paul said.

Rand Paul was less forgiving.

"I would say an F," he said, after being asked to offer his own opinion. "You cannot borrow and borrow and borrow and print money to pay for this without repercussions, and the repercussions will be higher prices in the grocery store."
