Seth Meyers Puts Trump And His 'S**t' Epstein Distraction Tactics On Blast

The "Late Night" host named the "funny thing" about the president's frustrations with Americans’ interest in the Jeffrey Epstein scandal.

Late Night” host Seth Meyers on Wednesday called out President Donald Trump for fuming over Americans’ interest in the Jeffrey Epstein files instead of praising his self-described accomplishments.

Ahead of signing a bill to release the Justice Department’s files on the late convicted sex offender, Trump insisted to reporters on Monday that he and his administration had “nothing to do” with Epstein. He also claimed that all of Epstein’s friends were Democrats.

“All I want is I want for people to recognize a great job that I’ve done on pricing, on affordability because we brought prices way down but they’re going way lower,” claimed Trump, continuing his series of lies about the cost of living.

Meyers quipped that beef, coffee and bananas cost him “six gold bars” at the grocery store the other day, then tackled the president’s comments.

“The funny thing is I can understand Trump being frustrated about the focus on Epstein if prices were going down, but they’re not going down. He’s basically saying, ‘Don’t focus on this shit thing, focus on this other shit thing,’” Meyers said. “Saying I don’t want Epstein to detract from prices is like a lawyer saying, ’Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, my client would never embezzle company funds ― just ask his wife, if you can find her!”
