Stephen Colbert Mocks Bill O'Reilly's Confusion Over 'Liberal' Asians In Hawaii (VIDEO)

WATCH: Colbert Mocks Bill O'Reilly's 'Liberal' Asian Confusion

As soon as Stephen Colbert returned to "The Colbert Report" Monday night after his holiday hiatus, he of course had to check in on his favorite Fox News host, Bill "Papa Bear" O'Reilly.

After taking issue with Wikipedia for locking their elephant article (because of Colbert), he moved on to O'Reilly's latest controversial remark: that he's surprised by how much of Hawaii's 35% Asian population is "liberal," considering "Asian people are not liberal, you know, by nature. They're usually more industrious and hard-working."

Colbert immediately defended O'Reilly from "the liberal media" -- in this case, Ed Schultz -- and fought back against his criticism of the racially generalizing, on-air comment:

"Folks, Bill was not being racist. He was simply painting an entire race with one brush," Colbert joked.
