'Toy Story' Remake: Teens Film Feature-Length Live Version Of Pixar Classic (VIDEO)

2 Teens Film Their Own AWESOME Version Of 'Toy Story'

Two high school students from Arizona have made their childhood dreams come true by bringing "Toy Story" to life in a live-action, full-length remake of the Disney-Pixar original classic film. It took young co-directors Jonason Pauley and Jesse Perrotta two years of hard work to complete this shot-for-shot, 120 minute film after meeting at school and finding common ground in their mutual love for the animated classic.

The friends transformed their bedrooms to replicate scenery from the original movie and about 150 of their friends and family members joined in the project as actors, so that the budget-friendly project cost less than $1,000 total. Check out the finished product in the video above.

Although Pixar has yet to comment on whether they plan on doing anything with the received submission, the project’s Facebook page has over 1,100 likes, and the duo's a live-action remake has over 1.5 million YouTube views.

Pauley explained to The East Valley Tribune that Pixar’s first original film made a lasting impact on him. “After seeing ‘Toy Story,’ I started playing with my toys differently,” he said. “I really made them alive.”
