Lee Kye-Hwa, a South Korean man, took his own life after posting a suicide note on his Twitter account.
According to the Korea Times, a passerby found the 27-year-old hanging from a ferry dock on Tuesday morning.
Although Lee's Twitter account is now disabled, the Telegraph reprinted his final words, written on Sunday:
I'm going to commit suicide. To all of you, even those who shared the slightest friendship with me, I love you.
After reading his ominous post, Lee's family members reported him missing, and several of his Twitter followers reportedly tried to contact him.
Lee, a former DJ in Seoul, also left handwritten suicide notes for family and coworkers, mentioning his financial troubles.
This is the first instance in South Korea of a person committing suicide after posting their intentions on Twitter, the Korea Times writes.
