WASHINGTON -- This weekend, the cherry blossom-mania continues with Japanese Culture Day at the Library of Congress and a high-end sushi extravaganza at the Ronald Reagan Building.

There's also an underwater Easter egg hunt for the kiddies, a tribute to departed Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Anthony Shadid and an open casting call for a Netflix drama.

Children are tasked with collecting as many floating and sinking eggs as possible in the time allowed; a special prize awaits whoever gathers up the most. Ready for your close-up? D.C.-based company, Central Casting, is holding an open call today for "House of Cards," a Neflix-produced one-hour political drama starring Kevin Spacey. The series is based on a four-part BBC mini-series. Central Casting president Dagmar Wittner told WTOP that he's "looking for an awful lot of really wonderful, elegant people." More specifically, that means men and women between the ages of 21 and 34, playing the roles of nameless political staffers and reporters. People aged 40 to 60 are being recruited to play seasoned reporters, politicians and lobbyists. The call will be 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Hill Center at 921 Pennsylvania Ave. SE. Chef Toru Oga of Oga's Japanese Cuisine will also perform a traditional Maguro Kaitai ceremony, the traditional ritual of breaking down an entire 150-pound tuna.
