Meet Miles Scott, The 'Batkid,' And The Wonderful People Behind His Wish (VIDEO)

Batkid Reveals His True Identity.. And He's A Bigger Superhero Than We Ever Imagined
|

On Friday, a pint-sized vigilante with a whole lot of courage stole hearts across the country when he saved San Francisco -- or rather, Gotham City -- from evildoers. He'll forever be known as Batkid, our favorite superhero in the history of superheroes.

But his real name is Miles Scott. He's a 5-year-old boy who's battled leukemia since he was 20 months old, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. Luckily, Miles is in remission.

And even though we love him when he's all dressed up as the crime-fighting Batkid, we're even more inspired by the video of him above, when we see the crusader without his mask, along with some of the people who made his wish come true.

"As far as I'm concerned," Patricia Wilson, of Make-A-Wish Greater Bay Area, says in the video above, "every child with a life-threatening medical condition is a superhero."

We wholeheartedly agree.
