Heather Ryan

Heather Ryan is a former Special Agent with NCIS, Founder of Safe in the City, Speaker, Author & Mom

For 14 years, Heather Ryan was a Special Agent with the U.S. Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS…yes, like the tv show…and no, she doesn’t know Mark Harmon). As an NCIS Agent, she investigated felonies ranging from rape and child abuse to homicide and espionage. Heather is the CEO & Founder of Safe in the City. Through speaking engagements and workshops, she empowers corporate leaders, women's groups & university students to harness the power of their intuition to be successful & safe. After years of conducting interrogations, Heather shares the bad guy’s secrets with her audiences, preventing them from becoming the next victim. She explains how listening to her intuition not only kept her safe in dangerous situations but allowed her to excel in a male-dominated profession. Before her crazy adventure began, Heather earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Ball State University in criminal justice & psychology. She went on to earn her Master of Science degree in criminology from Indiana State University. After all of that school, it was off to save the world. When Heather’s not wearing her Wonder Woman cape, she’s the mom to two kids and wife to another former Special Agent (think Mr. & Mrs. Smith). Heather carried a .40 cal for years, but the thought of using a glue gun makes her blood pressure skyrocket. She’s in the process of training her killer German Shephard, to be a volunteer therapy dog (the killer part is a joke…but remember don’t share too much online!). Visit www.SafeintheCity.co to learn how you can schedule Special Agent Heather to come speak to your group.
