It's one thing to be the ultimate 49ers fan, but proving it is an entirely different matter.

You may have been a loyal follower during the Elvis Grbac years, even sticking up for him when Willie Brown called the former-Niners QB an "embarrassment to humankind." But now that the seemingly unstoppable Colin Kaepernick-led team is odds-on favorite to win the Super Bowl, everyone with enough spirit to tweet "#HarBowl" has suddenly crowded onto the bandwagon.

And it's not just Northern California residents getting into the act. A recent analysis by Facebook found that the reach of San Francisco 49ers fandom covers a much greater swath of the country than does that of their Super Bowl rivals, the Baltimore Ravens.

So the question remains. How does one definitively establish his or her ultimate 49ers fandom? Much like with everything else on the internet, proving yourself to be a bleeding red and gold Niners fan follows the mantra, "Pics or it didn't happen."

That's why we're collecting photos of the world's greatest 49ers fans, and we want you to get into the act. Submit your best fan photos below for a chance to be featured in our slideshow:
