"Which Side Are You On?" tackles issues on both the macro and micro levels -- ranging from the title track, a new version of Pete Seeger's classic protest song which features Seeger on banjo and updated lyrics ripped from today's headlines to the intimate "Life Boat," which finds DiFranco ruminating about where she's been and where she now finds herself in her life.
