Democrat Bobby McKenzie was defeated by Republican Dave Trott in the midterm election Tuesday to represent Michigan's 11th District in Congress.
Incumbent Kerry Bentivolio mounted a write-in campaign after losing in the GOP primary to Trott, but also lost in the general election.
Trott is an attorney and businessman who was attacked during his campaign for his role in, and profits from, the foreclosure crisis.
