In less than a week, San Franciscans of all shapes and sizes will make their second-largest annual exodus to the desert, helping transform Coachella Valley into an epicenter of musical merriment.

But despite the addition of a second weekend of fun to the mix, tickets to Coachella 2012 sold out within minutes, stranding droves of wishful attendees with nothing more than a heavy heart and a closet full of onesies and fedoras.

Fear not, hipsters: there's still hope for Bay Area residents who want to catch a few (or 35) of the lineup's acts. Indio is a mere eight-hour drive from our fair city, after all, making it an easy trip up I-5 for any tour bus willing to brave the cow pastures.

This year's slew includes appearances by local hotshots tUnE-yArDs and Girls, indie-festival mainstays the Black Keys and the Rapture, explosive newcomers Gotye and WU LYF, revived favorites Jeff Mangum and Pulp, and even--yes-- the gods of Radiohead. (Good luck trying to get into that one, though; tickets sold out even faster than Coachella.)

Take a look at our roundup of every single Coachella artist making a stop by the Bay. Better luck in 2013!
