President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump were greeted by the Prince and Princess of Wales on Wednesday at Windsor Castle, as the president’s second state visit to the U.K. kicked off.

Trump immediately commented on Kate Middleton’s looks while greeting the royal.

“You’re beautiful, so beautiful,” he said in an exchange with Kate, as reported by People magazine.

Trump repeated himself during a state dinner Wednesday evening with the royals and other dignitaries, saying it was great to see Kate, who is recovering from cancer, looking “so radiant, so healthy and so beautiful,” according to a White House pool report.

Trump was previously invited to the U.K. for his first state visit by Queen Elizabeth, whom he once described as “a grand and beautiful lady.”

He thinks highly of King Charles, and recently commented on Prince William’s looks when the two met for a private chat in Paris, France, last year.

“He’s a good-looking guy. He looked really, very handsome last night,” Trump told the New York Post at the time. “Some people look better in person? He looked great. He looked really nice, and I told him that.”

The president has been enamored with the British royal family for decades.

In an infamous interview with Howard Stern just months after Princess Diana’s death in 1997, Trump once said that he “could have” gotten with the royal.

He has also said that a number of famous figures ― including the royals ― have “kissed my ass” in a book of letters he received from world leaders that he published in 2023.

“I knew them all — and every one of them kissed my ass, and now I only have half of them kissing my ass,” Trump told Breitbart News in an article related to the book’s publication.

Diana’s brother, Charles Spencer, cast doubt on Trump’s claim in a tweet after the article was published.

“Surprised to hear that Donald Trump is apparently claiming that my late sister Diana wanted to ‘kiss his arse,’ since the one time she mentioned him to me — when he was using her good name to sell some real estate in New York — she clearly viewed him as worse than an anal fissure,” Spencer shared.
