If you're unhappy at work, it might be time to move to Ohio.

That's because Dayton, Ohio, is the happiest city in the country for workers, according to a recent survey by online career site CareerBliss.com. The survey asked more than 36,000 employees to rank 10 factors that affect workplace happiness, including compensation, company culture and daily tasks. Knoxville, Tenn. and Honolulu, Hawaii, followed Dayton as the places where workers are most content on the job.

Bigger is not always better when it comes to finding happiness,” Heidi Golledge, chief executive and co-founder of CareerBliss told Forbes. “As you can see, cities such as Dayton, Honolulu and Memphis reveal that even mid-size cities can provide rewarding and positive work environments for people.”

On an unhappier note, CareerBliss also compiled its list of the least happiest cities for workers, and Boulder, Colo., carried the unnerving distinction of being the unhappiest city to work in. What's slightly odd is that a 2010 Gallup poll found that Boulder was the happiest city in America to live in overall. Of course, when life is great, why would anyone want to go to work anyway?
