Hunter Biden Firmly Denies Cocaine Found At White House Was His

The 2023 discovery kicked the far-right conspiracy cycle into overdrive.

Hunter Biden wants you to know he most definitely didn’t leave a bag of cocaine at the White House.

“I have been clean and sober since June of 2019, and I have not touched a drop of alcohol or a drug, and I’m incredibly, incredibly proud of that,” Biden told the journalist Andrew Callaghan in a sprawling three-hour interview Monday.

“Why would I bring cocaine into the White House, stick it into a cubby outside of the situation room in the West Wing when I wasn’t there?” he said. “Anyway, who the fuck knows?”

The 2023 discovery of suspicious white powder, found in an area of the White House that was accessible to tour groups, kicked the far-right conspiracy cycle into overdrive, with Donald Trump leading the charge.

“Does anybody really believe that the COCAINE found in the West Wing of the White House, very close to the Oval Office, is for the use of anyone other than Hunter & Joe Biden,” Trump wrote on social media at the time.

(The Biden family was out of town when Secret Service agents found the drug.)

A subsequent Secret Service investigation yielded insufficient evidence and the investigation was closed, prompting Republican outcry.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) criticized the Secret Service for failing to collect urine samples from the several hundred individuals who could have accessed the area where the substance was found.

Rep. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.) seemed to suggest Republicans’ own failure to find evidence linking Joe Biden to other various crimes they alleged was, somehow, evidence that he must be guilty in this instance.

“It’s just interesting that every time there’s something strange going on with President [Joe] Biden or his family, or his administration in the White House, no one can ever seem to find an answer,” she told reporters.

In May, FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino announced the agency will reopen the case.

Biden seemed almost amused Monday as he told Callaghan of the renewed interest.

“They’re literally going to do an FBI and another congressional investigation, because they’ve convinced themselves that it had to be me,” he said.
