Just because both the festival itself and many of the previously-announced official after shows are already sold out doesn't mean Chicago music fans are totally out of luck if they don't already have Lollapalooza tickets in hand.

Clubs throughout the city are also capitalizing on Lolla's stay in Chicago by throwing an astonishing array of preview and after-parties throughout the weekend, beginning on Thursday evening. The best part? Many of them are free and some of them will be serving up booze and other swag gratis. And you might even meet a few celebrities!

Of course, free stuff can also mean long lines, so you'll want to arrive early if you have your heart set on the parties below, so strategize accordingly!
