Today marks the halfway point to St. Patrick's Day, a.k.a Half-Way Day, and Tom Bergin's is celebrating in true Irish style. To mark the six month mark until the big, drunken party, anyone who wears green to the bar and restaurant today gets a Guinness or Irish whiskey for half price (840 S. Osteria Drago, the latest from chef Celestino Drago, is now serving lunch during the week from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (Monday-Friday). You'll find soups and salads, including entree ones like the chopped salad with chicken, quinoa, corn and avocado, plus pastas, risottos and grilled meats and seafood (8741 W. SATURDAY: Cous Cous Fest At Spanish Fly Gastropub(06 of07)

Chef Farid Zadi hosts the second annual Cous Cous Fest at his new Spanish Fly Gastropub this weekend. The event features North African street foods -- cous cous, tagines and dishes not usually on the menu at the Mid-City restaurant. You'll find things like slow-roasted lamb and goat heads, spicy snails, Algerian chicken wings, and other dishes Zadi calls North African stoner food. "Ancient Berbers were the original stoners," he adds. Distillers age spirits in barrels, brewers age beers in those same barrels, and now you get to drink them side by side.
