Nominees' Night 2012: The Hollywood Reporter Celebrates With Mayor Villaraigosa

Thursday night, Academy Award Nominees gathered at the home of Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa for The Hollywood Reporter's Nominees' Night 2012 -- a celebration of the 84th Annual Academy Awards.

THR's Editorial Director Janice Min and THR SVP and Publisher Lynne Segall welcomed notable guests such as Aaron Sorkin, Owen Wilson, Demian Bichir, Jessica Chastain, Kathryn Stockett, CNN's Piers Morgan and Michael Sheen.

The feeling of friendship was alive and well, and the competitive spirit was no where in sight. In the video above, nominee Jessica Chastain told THR that her favorite part of Awards season was seeing her friends, while Demian Bichir said that his favorite part was meeting new friends.

Once inside the historic 1920s residence, attendees mingled and enjoyed cocktails. Congratulations and praise to this years films!
