Pat Quinn Attacks Dan Hynes For Burr Oak Cemetery Handling

In response to a recent attack ad by rival Dan Hynes, the campaign of Governor Pat Quinn has released a 30-second spot hitting Hynes for his handling of the Burr Oak cemetery debacle.

In the ad, Quinn alleges that while Hynes was serving in his present capacity as comptroller, his office "ignored 22 complaints" about the cemetery, where hundreds of bodies were unearthed and dismembered in an elaborate scam. He also says the office's burial fund lost $100 million.

The ad comes as the governor's race tightens, and gets nastier, less than two weeks before the primary elections that will determine the Democratic nominee.
