Miami-Dade Fire Rescue provided a delicate service this weekend.
In an operation requiring a lift and harness, a rescue crew hoisted a large pregnant cow to safety after she became stuck in a five-foot deep drainage ditch in Homestead, according to WSVN.
"She's not going to get herself out. These are sheer vertical walls," said Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Chief Aaron Marks of the cow who was just days away from giving birth. Watch the rescue in the WSVN video above.
The bovine mother-to-be isn't the only runaway cattle in South Florida.
A few weeks ago, rogue bulls escaped their farm and went frolicking around suburban Doral strip malls.
