As a horrified world watched last week's deadly attacks in Paris claim the lives of 129 people, millions took to social media to stand in solidarity. Some have been critical of the digital support, but Karen North, a director at the USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism, told HuffPost that Parisians "want to hear that the world is with them."
