Watch out, Abbot Kinney. There's another block in town. The once sketchy stretch of Rose Avenue in Venice between 5th and 7th Avenues is really coming along with the recent influx of restaurants and shops. And now it's about to really blow up with the new residential, restaurant and retail development that reportedly will be completed this May. I recently spent an afternoon of lunching and window-shopping with one of my friends from the neighborhood and was pleasantly surprised at what I found.
