After the Illinois Toll Highway Authority spent $480,000 to erect signs touting former Gov. Rod Blagojevich -- and still smarting from the controversy -- tollway directors on Thursday made sure it won't happen again.

The directors banned signs with the names or images of public officials or candidates for public office.
