Yao Ming is literally the big man on campus.

The 31-year-old former Houston Rockets player, who retired in July, recently began management school in Shanghai at the Antai Economics and Management College of Shanghai Jiaotong University.

According to Xinhua Net, Yao is studying everything from English and mathematics to modern Chinese history. People's China Daily reports that he even has a specially made chair for him on campus to accomodate his 7'6 frame.

During a 25-minute press briefing, Yao told reporters that he was feeling "rusty" since he had not been in school in more than a decade. "Nevertheless, I will try hard to grasp this learning opportunity," he said.

He also said that he chose the university -- instead of opting for private tutors -- so he could "feel the atmosphere on campus."

Any advice for Yao? Leave it in the comments section.
