Neta Kligler-Vilenchik is a doctoral candidate at the University of Southern California. She is part of the MacArthur Foundation Youth & Participatory Politics Network that examines the way civic engagement is changing for young people in the context of digital environments. Neta has been researching the Nerdfighters’ innovative online civic engagement for more than three years and has authored the report “Decreasing World Suck: Fan Communities, Mechanisms of Translation, and Participatory Politics.”
