Stephen Whittaker

Expert in rhetoric and the literature of James Joyce, Stephen Whittaker teaches honors and other courses at the University of Scranton.

Stephen Whittaker is professor of rhetoric at the University of Scranton, where he has taught for 30 years. His areas of scholarship are rhetoric and James Joyce. He teaches an honors course in philosophy and courses in Irish literature and modern British literature, Joyce, Woody Allen and women’s studies. He has been named teacher of the year and has published in various professional journals. He earned a Ph.D. at the University of Texas.
