Nickolas Elias saw a bus parked in Staten Island's St. George Ferry Terminal, and decided to drive it home.

The 20-year-old, who friends and family describe as "bus obsessed," drove the MTA bus 1.6 miles to Stapleton, where he lives.

According to the New York Daily News, the police were able to locate the bus through MTA technology, at which point Elias told them that one day he "wants to be a bus driver" and that he'd planned to return the bus when he was done.
