Yes, it is that time of the week again: our weekly roundup of Chicago-area shelter pets up for adoption has returned after a weeklong hiatus over the holiday weekend.
Scroll down to check out photos of local rescue cats and dogs that are currently available to be adopted at a number of area shelters. With the temperatures beginning to plunge, these pets are lucky to be off the streets -- but they still need a family to call their own. To our knowledge, they've all been spayed or neutered and are up to date with their vaccinations.
