Dog Saves Baby From Crawling Too Close To Sea In Turkey (VIDEO)

WATCH: Dog Intervenes Just In Time

A dog in Turkey is being hailed as a hero this week after the quick-acting pup rushed to stop a baby from crawling into the sea near Kabak Bay.

The dog was playing fetch at the time the infant wandered a bit too close the waves. In a video of the rescue, the dog runs to save the baby from touching the water, lying down between the infant and the sea.

Moments later, the child's mother runs to scoop up the adventurous youngster.

The pup is not the first to earn the moniker of "man's best friend" or, in this case, baby's best friend. Last month, a Chihuahua-poodle mix in Texas stepped between a little girl and a venomous rattlesnake, taking a bite to the eye for one of his youngest family members.
