Cynthia Casey, an unemployed artist who lives on Detroit's west side, said she frequently runs into dead ends trying to find work in Detroit, and it isn't helped by the city's notoriously unreliable bus system. She said the city needs more jobs and economic opportunity.
"If a bus is broken down or full, I then have to wait additional hours on the next bus. Even though I'm trying to seek out job opportunities, I'm afraid I may not even be able to get to the job because I may end up missing the bus because it's either full or broke."
