A man was caught "cooking on the scene of the crime" when he was arrested on a felony burglary charge early Saturday for breaking into a suburban Chicago fast food restaurant.

According to police who viewed surveillance footage, 19-year-old Hachem Gomez damaged and entered through the drive-through window at Mr. Beef and Pizza in Mt. Prospect, Ill., before he damaged a cash register, poured himself a soda and began to prepare chicken tenders and french fries using a microwave, AP reports.

Gomez took his clothes off before climbing through the drive-through window, NBC video reveals.

Officers arrived at the restaurant, located at 1796 Elmhurst Road, around 3:30 a.m., and allegedly found Gomez in the midst of making his late night meal.

There is no any indication that Gomez was drunk or under the influence of any drugs at the time of the crime, according to the Daily Herald. Gomez has no previous criminal record.

Gomez's bond has been set at $5,000. He is scheduled to appear in court Sept. 21.
