Sunday night, Jane Lynch took home an Emmy for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her role as Sue Sylvester on "Glee," and made sure to give props to her hometown in the acceptance speech.

The Emmy was a first for Lynch, who grew up in south suburban Dolton and lived in Chicago for many years:

"I want to thank my parents on the South Side of Chicago for raising us...Yeah! South Side!...for raising us to the sounds of musical theater and being so unintentionally hilarious," Lynch said. (Video below.)

In July, Lynch gave another South Side shout out on the "Tonight Show," telling Jay Leno that she would be ordering pizza from Aurelio's for her birthday, calling it the "best pizza on the South Side of Chicago." She went on to explain the art of the South Side pizza--thin, crispy crust and sweet sauce. We are hungry just thinking about it.
