Ken Buck Gets Boost From New Americans For Job Security Ad Buy

The Virginia-based conservative independent group Americans for Job Security is doubling down on its support for Ken Buck in Colorado's Republican Senate Primary. The group, which poured $600,000 in to an ad campaign for Buck earlier this year, released a new ad Thursday that paints Buck as an 'outsider' candidate.

According to Politico, the ad will run for at least 5 days, and will cost the organization "in the mid 6-figures."

Recent polls have shown Buck, the Weld County District Attorney, surging ahead of former Lieutenant Governor Jane Norton, who was once considered a lock to secure the Republican nomination.

The Norton campaign, which holds a commanding cash advantage, has accused Buck of 'insider politics' for accepting the support of Americans for Job Security, and questioned Buck's conservative credentials based on the fact that the group ran ads attacking Arkansas Democrat Bill Halter in his primary against incumbent Democrat Blanche Lincoln.
