Sherri Shepherd Speaks Out About Jenny McCarthy Joining 'The View'

Sherri Shepherd sounded off on Jenny McCarthy joining "The View" as its newest co-host during an interview on Monday night.

When asked if the two of them would be the show's "troublemakers," Shepherd said that they would. "I'm looking to have a cohort in crime and I think she's going to get into a lot of trouble, so I'm going to show her the way to Barbara's office when we get called in," she told Jay Leno.

"If Barbara gotta call you into her office, it ain't nothing good," she said. "She'll say, 'I need to see you in my office, dear,' and when you hear that 'dear,' ooh…"

McCarthy is joining the show when the new season debuts in September. She had guest-hosted numerous times before "The View" made the official announcement. The show has been criticized for the choice due to McCarthy's controversial views on vaccinations. Shepherd seemed to spill the beans in July, telling TMZ before the announcement, "Jenny McCarthy is fearless, she's amazing, she'll cause some stuff, so I'm excited about her."

"The View" also saw the departure of Joy Behar and Elisabeth Hasselbeck last season, and will look very different when it returns.
