REDWOOD CITY, CA - Video adtech company YuMe was the first to integrate advertising directly to smart TV's in a major way with its activation with LG and Toyota some five years ago.

Today, its alliance with top manufacturers has expanded - as has its collaboration with set-top box companies, says Michael Hudes, EVP in this interview with Beet.TV

Hudes explains the opportunities and some of the challenges in gleaning consumer viewing data from TV's and how the company is using a mix of TV and ACR data to fine tune viewing numbers in a privacy compliant manner.

The changing utility of smart TV's and OTT devices will be one of the big subjects of conversation at next week's CES in Las Vegas.

This interview, recorded at the company's headquarters, is part of our lead-up to the show in a series titled the "Road to CES." The series is sponsored by YuMe.
