On the eve of one of the most divisive elections in modern history, the conversation strays from international affairs to the economy to health care. But the scientific underpinnings of many political opinions we've heard this season are shaky at best.

I was recently asked to host an episode of "The Point," a YouTube show presented by The Young Turks. I could think of nothing more relevant to the political atmosphere we currently find ourselves in than antiscience in Washington.
