CNN Contributor Manages To Disgust Everyone With His #BringBackOurGirls Comment

WATCH: CNN Contributor's 'Disgusting' Comments

A CNN panel could not hide its disgust at contributor Will Cain's comment Thursday about the nearly 300 schoolgirls kidnapped in Nigeria.

During a discussion of Monica Lewinsky's recent essay in Vanity Fair, Cain equated the chatter surrounding Lewinsky's resurfacing to the #BringBackOurGirls hashtag that has sparked global awareness of the 276 girls abducted by an Islamist extremist group -- both of which he called "cheap."

"We do cheap outrage on TV, we do cheap hashtag activism when it comes to the girls with Boko Haram, and this is cheap," he shouted on CNN's "Legal View." "I'm telling you, putting a tweet up with a hashtag on it-- you didn’t do your duty today.”

The rest of the "Legal View" panel looked purely horrified by Cain's comments.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa!" one contributor responded.

"That’s disgusting to say about over 200 girls," Don Lemon said.
