Think McDonald's gets a lot of flak? It also gets a lot of positive buzz as well, according to a new survey by YouGov BrandIndex. The research company, which surveys more than 1.2 million people each year, crunched its dining data for the first half of 2013.

Respondents were asked the question:

"If you've heard anything about the brand in the last two weeks, through advertising, news or word of mouth, was it positive or negative?"

The resulting Buzz score, which can range from -100 to 100, is compiled by subtracting negative feedback from positive. A zero score means equal positive and negative feedback.

Yesterday, we brought you the results of the casual dining chains with the best reputations. This time around, we're bringing you the quick service chains with the best reputations. Both of these lists show just how hard it can be to maintain a positive reputation -- none of the scores are particularly high. Two of the chains -- KFC and McDonald's -- did not appear on last year's top five list.
