Thousands of New Yorkers gathered for the annual gay pride march making their way down Fifth Avenue towards the West Village to celebrate the gay community and the one-year anniversary marking the passage of same-sex marriage in New York.

2012's cavalcade was led by Grand Marshalls Cyndi Lauper, Chris Salgardo, Phyllis Siegel, and Connie Kopelov.

Governor Cuomo and girlfriend Sandra Lee were also at hand for the festivities.
