Google Glass Porn App To Be Released In A 'Couple Of Days' By MiKandi Porn App Store

Here Comes A Google Glass Porn App
|

Mikandi, which markets itself as "the world's first and largest adult app store," announced on its blog last week that it was in the process of creating the first adult entertainment app for Google Glass. Now it turns out the company will have an app ready "in the next couple of days," as MiKandi co-founder Jennifer McEwan told the U.K.'s Register on Tuesday.

The app will allow people to view porn on Google Glass and create videos for others to watch. MiKandi (pronounced "My Candy") seems particularly excited about the potential to create POV ("point of view") porn on Glass. A YouTube video and promotional blog post from the company confirm that interest: "Sharing POV porn is now even faster and easier than holding up your camera phone ... How fun will it be to tap into your favorite porn star or cam model’s Glass video stream?"

It's not like the invention hasn't been hotly anticipated, of course. Preeti Upadhyaya of the Silicon Valley Business Journal said last month that Google Glass would "blow the covers off the porn industry." Still, she warned about the potential privacy and consent concerns. Tech writer and porn pundit Violet Blue, meanwhile, blogged optimistically about MiKandi's upcoming projects: MiKandi, she wrote, has a reputation for being "tasteful."

Perhaps already seeing the potential for unlicensed imaging, several strip clubs and at least one bar have already banned Glass: “If they don’t want to check [their Glass], we’d be happy to give them a limo ride back to their hotel,” the managing partner of Sapphire Gentlemen's Club in Las Vegas recently told NBC.
