If the thought of swimming with a crazy number of jellyfish freaks you out, then maybe you could dive into this video expedition first.
Palau's Jellyfish Lake contains 13 million of the gelatinous critters. And they are beautiful. OK, they're a little creepy, too, and maybe you're having flashbacks to screaming bloody murder after getting stung that one summer. But the underwater scene is so mesmerizing, you just might forget.
"A place like Palau's Jellyfish Lake is a [reminder] of how wondrous the world can be," wrote YouTube user mikeyk730, who posted the video. "Swimming with literally millions of jellyfish was absolutely surreal -- a reminder that there will always be surprises out there!"
The golden jellyfish, the main inhabitants of the seawater lake, have lost their sting, National Geographic notes. But the Coral Reef Research Foundation says they actually do have a mild sting, and you will feel a "tingly sting" on a sensitive area of skin.
Either way, it sounds like it's worth taking the plunge!
