The Today Show traveled to Haiti with NBA star Samuel Dalembert to visit his hometown and witness the destruction that January's earthquake caused.

The Sacramento Kings center showed Jenna Bush Hager, a contributing correspondent for Today, the courts he learned to play on, his own school -- still in ruins -- and the general lack of progression in Port-au-Prince since the disaster.

The Today Show reports,

Nearly nine months after Haiti's devastating earthquake more than a million people remain displaced and 500,000 children are still out of school.
