Jennifer Stone Talks 'The Wizards Return: Alex vs. Alex' And Selena Gomez As Executive Producer

Jennifer Stone Reflects On Her First Day Filming 'Wizards' (VIDEO)
|

The cast of “Wizards of Waverly Place” is reuniting for the new Disney Channel movie, “The Wizards Return: Alex vs. Alex,” premiering this Friday, March 15. HuffPost Teen caught up with the adorable Jennifer Stone -- who plays the weirdest and most wonderful BFF ever, Harper Finkle -- to get the scoop on the new movie. Watch the interview in the video above.

Here are highlights from our Q&A:

Jennifer's number one priority as a BFF in real-life...
Trust is really important to me. I don’t like to be around people that I can’t pour my heart and soul out to.

What Selena Gomez was like as the executive producer of the "Wizards Return" movie...
It’s not really that different, she has a little bit more say in what happens. It’s really cool to watch her grow up in that sense and just be more in control of things. She has a great sense of humor about herself, so we give her tons of crap. We’re like “What’s up EP, why is this happening?” We give her so much junk for it but she has a great sense of humor so she takes it in stride.

If she could go back in time and give advice to herself on the first day of "The Wizards of Waverly Place"...
I’d tell myself to enjoy every minute because I still look back on it and I can’t believe how fast it flew by. It was five years of my life but it just went by so quickly. It feels like a story somebody told me, not something that actually happened to me. I was so blessed to have that experience. I would tell 14-year-old me to pace yourself, enjoy every minute of it, and don’t take it for granted.

What her senior superlative would be at "Disney high school"...
They actually made yearbooks for everybody when the show ended -- which was very sweet and I hold mine very dearly -- but it was something about me having very colorful language.

What her wizarding power-of-choice would be...
Probably to read people’s minds, but to be able to turn it off because that would be horrible to just have it all the time, like Mel Gibson in “What Women Want.” I’d like to read people’s minds but have an “on” and “off” switch.

Where Harper will be 5 years from now...
Well, we had the "future Harper" episode and Rachel Dratch played an older version of me -- which was so rad -- and I end up writing stories about the Russos and their adventures. But if I had to imagine Harper in five years, I feel like she would be interning at some kind of clothing, fashion outlet. She’d be doing something with clothes or writing.

On Jonathan Groff: "I grew up never having had close friends because I was working all the time. All the girls, growing up, everyone had their best friends. And I never, ever had that. And Jonathan is really and truly my first and only best friend. And I couldn't have picked a better person." (NY Times) (credit:AP)

On Harry Styles: "There's a minority of fans that have created this conspiracy of me and Harry actually being in a relationship together. Yeah, crazy! They believe it and look into every little thing, like if there's a picture of me and Harry together and we're looking at each other, then we must be in a relationship." "One of my favorite stories with Taylor Swift was when I was going through a very hard breakup. She came to my house at 10:30 at night and knocked on my door. I opened it, and she had two big bags of junk food, cookies, Snickers and soda. She put it on the table, put her laptop on, we made a video, and she told me that now we could look forward to breakups, since we know the other one will get us junk food." "The best part about having true friends is that you can go months without seeing them and they'll still be there for you and act as if you'd never left! Of course I miss my friends but they're very understanding and I know they'll always be here for me!" (Salt Prep) (credit:Getty)

On Rupert Grint and Emma Watson: "We have grown up together, and there is an understanding that from all of us that we are the only three people who know what it's like to go through this mad 10 years and be at the center of it.
