Katherine Heigl is asking for your help in finishing a new film in which she plays an embattled lesbian bride-to-be.

The "Grey's Anatomy" and "Knocked Up" star describes "Jenny's Wedding" as "a project that I'm so passionate about and grateful to be a part of." Meanwhile, director Mary Agnes Donogue said the film is "about personal courage."

Heigl stars as Jenny (played by Heigl), the picture-perfect daughter of two conventional, tightly-knit parents (Tom Wilkinson and Linda Emond) who sparks family friction when she decides to marry her same-sex partner.

At present, producers of "Jenny's Wedding" hope to raise $150,000 through Indiegogo by March 28 to complete the movie's music, titles and sound. All donations to the movie campaign are tax-deductible, while a portion of the proceeds will go to PFLAG Cleveland (Parents, Family and Friends of Lesbians and Gays).
